Disney+ Throwback Experience | A Millennial’s Y2K Dream
I got to step back in time to my childhood at the Disney+ Throwback Experience last night, and my millennial heart could not be happier! You already know I love a good throwback, so it was no surprise that I was obsessed with all of the photo ops and getting to see the real props and costumes from so many of my favorite Y2K shows and movies!
All of these themed rooms were like heaven to me! We got to do a mini scavenger hunt in Cheetah Girls, Boy Meets World, and Hannah Montana style.
As a huge fan of The Princess Diaries, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, AND Gilmore Girls, I was living the dream.
I completely geeked out with this recreation of the Pink Slip rehearsal set, especially with Freakier Friday coming out in just a few months!
And as Lizzie McGuire’s biggest fan, you know that I’m most definitely an outfit rememberer.
The even cooler part about this event was running into so many of my favorite Disney Channel stars! It was a mini High School Musical reunion with Lucas Grabeel and Bart Johnson.
Is it even a Y2K themed event without polaroid pictures, butterfly clips, and elastic bracelets?!
I could not contain my excitement when I met Christina Vidal (from Taina and Freaky Friday)! She was so sweet and her kiddo was wearing an amazing Taina shirt!
It was lovely seeing Jake Thomas, Jason Dolley, and Alisa Reyes again as well.
I ended the night saying hi to Vincent Martella and David Errigo Jr. (aka Phineas and Ferb)!
If you want to check out the pop-up (located at Rock Etiquette - 7550 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046) for yourself, tickets are free for the public but need to reserved in advance via this link. The experience is open starting today 6/12 through Sunday 6/15 from 11am to 7pm daily!
Huge thank you to Disney+ for having us and to Thaddeus for inviting me to be your guest!
xo,
Keshia
