Everything You Need to Know About Altadena Music Theatre's Limited Run of "Hair"!

Disclosure: Altadena Music Theatre provided me with a complimentary ticket to see Hair. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Let the sunshine in! My friend Melissa and I were so excited to be back at Altadena Music Theatre for their opening night of “Hair”!

Altadena Music Theatre is female-owned and operated and is a non-profit enriching the Los Angeles community through live musical theatre, arts advocacy, and developmental youth programs. Please check out the show and help support this amazing company!

It is the dawning of The Age of Aquarius once again! The summer of love springs forth amongst the backdrop of war, political tyranny and cultural strife. A group of freedom fighters bound together by love, independent spirit, and critical thought share the message that can heal the world. This show is the ultimate call for the hopes of bringing the nation together - unifying each other with the message of love, peace, and understanding.

Ticket prices start at $35, and the show is playing at Farnsworth Park (568 Mount Curve Ave East, Altadena, CA 91001) on Thursdays through Sundays now until 9/24. The performance length is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, including one 15 minute intermission.

There is an ample amount of free street parking along Mount Curve Ave, Lake Ave, and Marengo Ave. The entrance to the amphitheater is closest to Mount Curve Ave. Please note that there are also quite a bit of stairs so be careful as you make your way down into the theatre.

Doors open at 7pm and seating is general admission so definitely get there early. Bring blankets and jackets - the venue is outdoors so it does get a little chilly out, but it’s a fun experience to watch the show under the stars!

The show is produced by Sarah Azcarate, directed by Oliver Azcarate, choreographed by Melissa Schade, with music direction by Chris Wade. The rest of the cast includes Daniel Hartman, Steve Mazurek, Sarah Azcarate, Scarlet Sheppard, Cruz St. James, Karlina Covington, Cassidy Von Kronemann, Michael Neely, Jalen Friday, Sarah Lopez, Lindy Jones, Jaya Mapleton, Chelsea Maker, Ryan Maker, Sean York, Ursula Knudson Gueringer, Molly Fowler, Kelsey Guy, Avery Bass, Kate Mallor, Anne Bosi, and Michael Mullen.

The entire cast absolutely killed it and you’re not going to want to miss this special limited engagement! The show was so fun to vibe to and I was living for all the great energy in the air, especially now that Mercury is finally out of retrograde! You can grab your tickets to the show here!

It was so lovely seeing Scarlet and Cruz again (they are both the sweetest and so incredibly talented), and it was so nice to meet Jalen (his voice is out of this world)!

And of course we had to snap a photo with Sarah (the founder of Altadena Music Theatre!) who also killed it as Sheila in the show! I love what she is doing for the community, and she and her husband Oliver could not be any kinder. They both made me feel so welcome in this space, and I appreciated it so much!

Huge thank you to Altadena Music Theatre for having me, and Melissa for inviting me to be your +1!
