As a Disney Fan, is Thriftyland 101 Worth Checking Out?

My friend Lucy and I were excited to check out Thriftyland 101 after I had heard about it from several friends, but it was not at all what we expected.

Thriftyland 101 is located at 842 N Euclid St, Anaheim, CA 92801, and at the time of writing this post, they are currently moving spaces (but it’s still in the same plaza). They also have a second location called Thriftyland 102, located at 2105 E Ball Rd, Anaheim, CA 92806, but I have yet to check it out.

We knew going into it that they had curated Disney finds, but I was bummed when I found out a big majority of their clothing inventory was not vintage and/or secondhand pieces. What you will find is a bunch of Disney Parks merch of seasons past at a discounted price! I can’t verify this, but to me, it seemed like it was mostly Company D overstock.

I also feel like calling it “thrifty” is a tad deceiving! While a lot of the merch is new with tags, the prices were a bit steep for me (ranging anywhere from $25 to $100 depending on the piece), where as at a thrift store, I’m used to most items being $5 to $20.

I’d recommend checking out the store if there was a past merch item you missed out on as there’s a chance you might find it here for a better price! I did also spot some ears that are currently at the parks being sold for slightly cheaper there.

Have you shopped at Thriftyland 101 or 102 before? If so, what did you think?

Keshia
