Spilling the Tea About What I Didn’t Like On the Disney Adventure

I’m wishing… for some changes to be made on the Disney Adventure!

This ship is gorgeous, the crew is some of the best we’ve encountered, and the merch is on point, BUT this was not my favorite Disney cruise. I’m not sure if things are still being worked out since we were part of the inaugural sailings, but there’s quite a bit that could be improved to make the guest experience better:

Reservations Are Needed For… Everything?
Reservations need to be made for more popular experiences on board, but I only knew that ahead of time because I watched some videos from creators who were on the maiden voyage talk about it. I wish we got push notifications from the Disney Cruise Line app to be aware of when we could try to make reservations. The last thing I wanted to do was be on my phone the whole time constantly refreshing the app so I didn’t miss my chance to book a time slot.

There Isn’t Enough to Do
Even though this is Disney’s biggest ship, I felt like there weren’t a lot of things to do to help disperse the large number of passengers (especially since there aren’t any port stops). Time slots to meet the characters were scarce, and for things like the Ironcycle Test Dun, it was only open for a few hours on Day 2 & 3 (and without a resy, you wouldn’t get to experience it at all). There weren’t enough entertainment offerings (i.e. trivia, bingo, etc.) which made the limited options feel disappointing and crowded.

Can We Get Rid of Shared Dinner Seating?
This is a general issue I have with all the Disney cruises we’ve been on, but I don’t like sharing our dinner table with random people. This time, we had the most unpleasant table mates (which is obviously not the cruise’s fault), but it ruined our dinner experience. They barely acknowledged us, and then proceeded to be extremely rude and demanding to our servers. It rubbed us the wrong way, and I dreaded seeing them every night.

It’s Hot Inside AND Outside!
And finally, I don’t know if it’s just because Singapore itself is extremely hot and humid, but even indoors with the air conditioning, it was still warm throughout the ship. I was constantly drenched in sweat!

I promise not everything was bad, but I hope that these things change for the better to make this ship more enjoyable for future guests!

Keshia
