Eight Months with Baby L

We’re bringing honor to us all with this month’s princess theme being Mulan! We dressed up as Mulan, Mushu, and Crikee to celebrate our girl at the parks!

These are some of the updates and lessons we learned from this past month:

Blink and You’ll Miss It
So much growth truly happens in the blink of an eye! We’ve seen Baby L become so much more mobile in the span of a week and it’s amazing to watch her progress unfold right in front of us.

Traveling is Getting Harder To Do
Traveling at this age vs. when we took our first flight together at 2 months old was more exhausting than expected. We’ve learned that a little extra patience goes a long way and that while we could get through the flight holding Baby L in our arms, in the future, it might be easier for us to splurge on her own seat or extra room for some additional comfort on longer trips.

It’s Time to Baby Proof
We are now starting to think of ways to baby proof the house, from putting up railings on our bed to purchasing outlet covers. We are still in the early stages of this, but it’s becoming more front of mind as Baby L continues to move independently.

Feeding Solids & Sharing Food
We’ve become more comfortable with sharing food we’re eating with Baby L, but in bite sized portions. I still have a fear of feeding her foods that contain common allergens, but I know that early introduction will hopefully help prevent severe reactions from developing.
