Six Months with Baby L

We’re shining, shimmering, and splendid with this month’s princess theme being Jasmine! We dressed up as Princess Jasmine, Aladdin, and Genie for a day at the parks to celebrate our girl!

These are some of the updates and lessons we learned from this past month:

Breaks Are Needed
We’re learning more and more how important it is to build in more break times. While we don’t stick to a strict regiment when it comes to naps, we are seeing in real time how the overstimulation can affect Baby L the longer she stays awake.

Introducing Solids is… Scary
Adjusting from breastfeeding to solid food has been a bit intimidating. I kind of forget that as Baby L gets older, our routine needs to evolve with her too. We’ve slowly started introducing baby food, but I’ll be honest that I’m still really nervous giving her the common baby allergens.

Being Sick as a Family Sucks
We’ve survived our first cold as a family and it was rough. Not being able to operate at 100% made it extra difficult, but we took it as a sign to slow down and rest. Now more than ever, I do not take our health for granted.

Presence is a Present
Now that Baby L is more alert, it’s more important than ever for us to stay present with her. We love bringing her along on all of our adventures and creating core memories together.

xo,
Keshia
