A Special Tour of the Walt Disney Animation Studios

It was a dream come true getting to visit the Walt Disney Animation Studios!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Russ from Zootopia 2. It was also an extra special day for the Studios because the film received multiple nominations for the Annie Awards!

I can’t even recall how many times I said, “That’s so cool!” the entire day, because I completely geeked out getting to see where my favorite animated Disney movies are made.

We met up with our friend Jasmine who kindly showed us around and fun fact, she also worked on Zootopia 2 (as well as a number of other Disney films such as Moana, Encanto, and more)! She told us the atrium is always decorated with the Studios’ latest release, so as a huge Zootopia fan, I was eating everything up!

Throughout the hallways, we got to see life size props from the Studios’ other animated films, such as Wreck It Ralph.

It was fun finding other Zootopia 2 Easter eggs around the offices, such as these specially made restroom doors. We also got to see a display full of Zootopia 2 merch (and let’s be real, it took everything in me not to take it all home)!

I still remember when this Frozen 2 display was at D23 Expo a few years ago.

We randomly bumped into our friend Allen (who we haven’t seen in years) while walking through the ABC building!

We then took a little stroll around the Walt Disney Studios Lot and finally got to get up close and personal with the Seven Dwarfs building and the Walt and Mickey statue!

The biggest thank you to Jasmine for making magic and taking time out of your day to personally give us a tour - we had the best time and core memories were made!
