It’s the Year of the Horse, so this year’s special character to meet at San Francisco Street is Horace! And for the very first time, you can meet Red Panda Meilin from Turning Red at the Pixar Pier Band Shell!
You can shop special Lunar New Year merch right outside of The Little Mermaid - Ariel’s Undersea Adventure attraction. Personally, I wasn’t impressed with this year’s designs, which was a bit of a bummer since my Chinese zodiac animal is the horse, and I was looking forward to having some Year of the Horse merch in my collection.
Try the special food offerings at the Lunar New Year marketplaces with the Sip and Savor pass! It comes with six digital coupons that you can use towards food and non-alcoholic beverages from participating locations. To save time, you can preorder most items at one stall and then pick them up at their respective locations.
Don’t miss Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession which is always a highlight getting to see all of the amazing parade performers!
Make your Lunar New Year wish at the Lucky Wishes Wall in Paradise Gardens! There, you’ll also be able to enjoy Chinese calligraphy, character meet and greets, and yummy festival food!
If you’re a Magic Key Holder, make sure to stop by the area under Silly Symphony Swings to grab your special Year of the Horse button and take a photo at the Magic Key Holder Lunar New Year backdrop!
Catch “Hurry Home - A Lunar New Year Celebration” before “World of Color!” This beautiful water show tells the story of a little lantern’s quest to reunite with family for the annual celebration of good luck and fortune.
