Ten Months with Baby L
And at last we see the light with this month’s theme being Tangled! We dressed up as Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, and Mother Gothel to celebrate our girl at the parks!
These are some of the updates and lessons we learned from this past month:
Sleep… Oh, How I’ve Missed You
Sleep training has been getting better! The process hasn’t been perfect and we’re still working on it, but I’m starting to get a bit of decent, uninterrupted sleep for the first time since Baby L was born.
Solid Foods Have Been Tricky
Starting solids has had its pros and cons. On one hand, it takes the pressure off of me where breastfeeding isn’t the only source of nutrition, but on the other hand, it’s been tricky trying to figure out what to feed Baby L on a daily basis because I don’t know how to cook (and I don’t have a huge mental capacity to take it on). Leftovers have been helpful for breakfast and lunch, and teething crackers and cereal have been great as snacks throughout the day. Kev usually takes care of dinner which is helpful as it’s one less meal I have to worry about.
Gratitude Gets Us Through
The days are long and oftentimes I’m running on empty, but I’m still so grateful to have all of this time with Baby L. None of it is easy, but all of it is worth it.
xo,
