One Month with Baby L
We want to document our parenthood journey throughout L’s first year and decided that for each month, we will dress her up as a different Disney princess to capture her growth and provide updates on what we’ve learned! For her first month, it only made sense for us to pay homage to the first Disney princess, Snow White!
Breastfeeding
For the last few weeks, I was exclusively pumping but have tried to pick up breast feeding again this week. I’m still trying to figure out what works best for me, but I think we are going to try to do a combo of both breast feeding and bottle feeding with pumped milk!
Sleep Training
We have started sleep training with L and it’s definitely been an adjustment as we are shifting our entire routine that we’ve established this past month. We know it will take some time (and for me, it’s hard to be patient), but it feels like we’re moving in the right direction!
Communication
Kev and I make sure to check in with each other often to see how we’re feeling - it’s helping us improve our communication as well as making sure we both feel supported in the ways we need.
Efficiency
We are constantly trying to find ways we can be more efficient in all aspects of parenthood, and having my sister and brother-in-law (who have two little ones of their own) in town to help out and share their tips and tricks with us has been instrumental.
Savoring Time with L
I’m doing my best to come to terms with how limited my time is these days and how quickly the days are passing by. I truly wish I could freeze time or slow things down because I’m already having a hard time accepting how much L has grown this past month!
