One Year with Baby L
We’ll lead the way with this month’s princess theme being Raya and the Last Dragon! We dressed up as Raya, Sisu, and Tuk Tuk to celebrate our girl at the parks!
These are some of the biggest lessons I learned from this past year:
Trust Your Intuition
I’ve gotten both solicited and unsolicited advice from just about everyone, and while they all mean well, I’ve learned to listen, process, and ultimately go with my instincts because I know my baby best.
Take the Help You Can Get
When people say it takes a village, it’s because it’s absolutely true. I’m grateful to have an amazing circle of family and friends who stepped in to support us whenever we needed an extra set of hands.
My Baby is Important, but I Am Too
One of my biggest fears was that I’d lose myself when I became a mom. I still make time to prioritize myself and what I love to do, and now when I have the opportunity to share my interests with my daughter, it has made our time together even more magical.
Some Days You’re Thriving, and on Others, You’re Surviving
Not every day is going to be perfect, but I do my best to stay calm in the midst of the constant overstimulation. Baby L is still learning just as much as I am, and I try to think of it as both of us giving grace to each other.
It’s been one heck of a year, and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next for L!
