Disney Studios' Lilo and Stitch Live Action World Premiere

Happy World Premiere Day to Disney Studios’ “Lilo and Stitch”! It was an honor getting to be Thaddeus’ +1 today, and 12-year old me would never believe that I got to be there! I absolutely loved the movie and I think it’s Disney’s best live action remake yet - you HAVE to see this one in theaters!

It was so lovely getting to hang out with our friend Rachel who was Thaddeus’ publicist for the day and walked him down the blue carpet!

Thaddeus and I dressed up as Lilo and Pudge for the occasion, and I loved how our outfits turned out. I also ran into my friend Dani on the carpet - she looked stunning!

I was so starstruck getting to meet Stitch! He was the cutest driving around in his pink jeep and greeting guests during the pre-party.

I also loved getting to meet a couple of my childhood icons, including Tia Mowry and Amy Hill (who plays Tutu in the film).

I’ve loved Stitch and the animated movie ever since it came out in 2002, so as soon as the live action version was announced, I have been impatiently waiting to see this film. I had posters and magazine cutouts of Stitch all over my bedroom, and my friends in junior high knew about my obsession and would get me different versions of Stitch stuffed animals for Christmas and my birthday!

I’m also so grateful for the AAPI representation this movie provided for me at a young age, and I can’t wait for my daughter to grow up with the live action version getting to see herself in a story so near and dear to my heart.

It was a pleasure getting to meet Kaipo Dudoit who plays David in the film - he was so incredibly kind.

We also ran into Julia Butters and Sophia Hammons (who stars in “Freakier Friday” coming out later this summer) and KayCee Stroh (who we love from the “High School Musical” movies).

One of the security guards at the event was so sweet and gifted me her Stitch pin as a souvenir!

Huge thank you to Disney Studios for having us, and Thaddeus for inviting me to be your guest! I will never be able to thank you enough for always including me in your ohana and letting me experience these opportunities with you!
