Dexter's Lab, But Make It Y2K

OUTFIT DETAILS
Dress: Thrifted | Coat: Thrifted | Hat: Amazon | Earrings: Nasty Gal | Boots: La Moda

If you haven’t figured it out by now, my obsession with Y2K fashion is full-blown at this point. I love mixing funky pieces together and seeing whatever creative masterpiece I can come up with for the day! Last month, I was thrifting at Super Thrift in La Habra, and I saw this amazing bedazzled vintage coat hanging on one of the racks. I kid you not, as soon as I saw it, I knew it had to be mine!

The funny thing about this coat is when Kevin first saw me wearing it, he told me he thought I looked like Dexter from the Cartoon Network show, Dexter’s Laboratory. I mean… he’s not wrong, but I like to think this was an unintentionally more elevated take on Dexter, minus the purple gloves and all.

I’ve also been loving trying out low-fuss hairstyles, like these bubble braid pigtails. I can’t believe how quick it is to style my hair these days, because let’s face it, I am way too lazy to curl my hair every time I go out!

This was such a fun location to shoot at, but I wish I was able to go inside the store and do some shopping! They were unfortunately closed when we swung by, but I loved the vintage circus vibes the exterior of the store gave. It seemed like a good match for this very early 2000s style black and white dress I wore!

Which part of the outfit was your favorite? I’d love to know in the comments below!
