Four Real-Life “Shrinking” Filming Locations in Pasadena, CA

One of the magical things about living in LA is recognizing filming locations that are right in our backyard! Growing up around the Pasadena, CA area, I loved seeing some very familiar spots used as backdrops throughout Apple TV’s Shrinking and I wanted to share them with you! If you haven’t seen it yet, I can’t recommend this show enough - it’s moving and absolutely brilliant - from the writing to the acting, it’s one of the best series out there right now.

Jimmy and Alice’s Home
1849 N Michigan Ave, Pasadena, CA 91104

This is the house used as the exterior for Jimmy and Alice’s home! This is a private residence, so please be respectful when visiting.

Metro Station
905 Meridian Ave, South Pasadena, CA 91030

This is the spot where Louis and Sarah used to sit and make up stories about what the different passengers do for a living.

Central Park
275 S Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91105

This is the park with the famous bench where Paul and Alice have their mini therapy sessions! To find the right bench, make sure you have the Castle Green building behind you!

Copa Vida
70 S Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91105

This is the coffee shop where Paul meets with Raymond (one of his patients).
