"Beetlejuice the Musical" at Hollywood Pantages Theatre

Disclosure: Broadway in Hollywood & Hollywood Pantages Theatre provided me with two complimentary tickets to see Beetlejuice the Musical. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice! My friend Melissa and I had a blast at opening night of Beetlejuice the Musical at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre (6233 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028) last night!

I remember watching the cartoon when I was a kid (with very vague memories of the storyline), and I’ve never seen the movie, so I really went into this show not knowing what to expect. I had heard good things from other people about the show, so I was very excited to see what was in store!

We arrived to the show about an hour before showtime, and it was so great to hang out with our new friend Daniel!

I always love a good celebrity spotting moment, and we were lucky to get the chance to meet Doug Jones, Kaley Cuoco, and Gabrielle Ruiz. Everyone was so sweet and I’m grateful they were so gracious to snap a quick photo with us!

Based on Tim Burton’s dearly beloved film, this hilarious musical tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes. And under its uproarious surface (six feet under, to be exact), it’s a remarkably touching show about family, love, and making the most of every day-o!

This show is so much fun! It’s high energy and sarcastic (which I LOVED), and it made me wish it was Halloween already! The entire cast blew me away and I was obsessed with Justin Collette as Beetlejuice, Isabella Esler as Lydia, and Kate Marilley as Delia! I laughed out loud more times than I could count, and it was overall an amazing time.

Ticket prices start at $39 (you can get your tickets here!), and the show is playing Tuesdays through Sundays now until 7/30. The performance length is 2 hours and 30 min, including a 15 min intermission. The show is recommended for ages 13 and up (and children under age 5 will not be admitted into the theatre).

Self-parking is available at the Eastown Garage (across the street from the Pantages) for $25. I recommend getting to the theatre at least 30-45 minutes before showtime!

Thank you so much to Hollywood Pantages Theatre and Broadway in Hollywood for having me!
