Happy 25th Birthday Disney California Adventure Park!

We’re bummed we missed the celebrations yesterday, but a day late is better than never, right?! I still remember the very first time we visited DCA back in 2001, but unfortunately I couldn’t find any photos (I’ll have to dig deeper in storage for these)!

I know DCA in its original glory gets a bad rap, but I miss Superstar Limo, the replica of the Golden Gate Bridge, the giant “California” postcard letters, and even the Greetings From California store. I look back now feeling so lucky that I got to experience the park in its opening year with my family!

All the nostalgia aside, I love Mickey and Minnie’s new outfits for the 25th anniversary - they’re so colorful and fun, and I’m so happy we were able to get a photo with them together!

It was a lovely surprise getting to chat with the citizens of Buena Vista Street who absolutely made our day with their kindness.
